Many people, and this has to be mainly men, still adhere to the point of view that women and technology are no great match for each other. There are many jokes relating to women not being able to operate their gadgets, fix their PC's or download to their Music Phones
Is this fact or fiction, though? It is certainly true that men and women do think and act slightly differently. Yet despite several controversial studies over the years, it is not really known if either sex is more intelligent than the other.
Part of the explanation stems from the fact that many men are simply more interested in technology. This is by no means the rule as there are plenty of women who really enjoy understanding the workings of the latest gadget. But more men are prepared to spend the time and effort understanding the processes and technology of a piece of equipment, whereas women just, well, want it to work and to do what it is supposed to. They are more interested in the result rather than the underlying technology.
Equally, there are people of both sexes who are equally clueless when it comes to gadgets so this is no indicator either. The sooner we stop analysing which is the smarter sex and start putting each of our strengths to our mutual advantage the better.
